Inspired

So much has happened in my life since my last posting...new job, new house, getting ready for a new baby...my creativity has been simmering below the surface, an old friend neglected, but lurking close by. I'd like to get to know her again, but I fear she feels rejected and will pout.

A long time friend, a brother really, has approached me with an invite to join/help start an art/writing/creativity and beauty collective. What a wonderful idea! And a welcome surprise from someone whom I thought had 'gone cynical' and didn't believe in the magic or the mysteries of the universe. I often feel quite alone in my brain - observing the world around me consumed with the banalities of daily life, people who don't question or wonder, people who are hardened and close minded about who they are or what they were put on this earth to contribute.

The key to it all is AWARENESS. Being mindful. Being curious. It astonishes me, really, the lack of curiousity in the world. People never question - they just accept the headline. I like to dig, to wonder, to connect concepts. I don't believe in any one absolute. Absolute belief leads to war, discrimination, bigotry, fear, rejection, pain, cruelty, detachment. Instead, I believe that anything is possible. I'm willing to accept your truth. I am willing to see it from another angle. I have no personal stake, no ego involved in the outcome of your life. Who am I to judge you for your choices or beliefs?

So, I'm inspired by the thought of contributing to a group of like minded, artistic types who are on the path of self awareness...who will support me, and whom I can support. Fabulous!
